Professor Rod Wissler, Dean of Graduate Studies

At QUT, we know that postgraduate researchers thrive when they have a topic they are passionate about, a supervisory team which supports their learning, and a cutting edge research environment that challenges their thinking. QUT's research institutes and centres provide such a context for development of you as a researcher; supporting you and your success. Our researchers have an enviable record of funding and publication success; and are engaged with high impact projects in over 50 countries. Postgraduate research students from all over Australia and the world come to QUT adding to the diversity and depth of research being conducted across all faculties.

The Research Students Centre (RSC) assists you in working through the administrative processes associated with your postgraduate research degree.  We are there to make your research journey as smooth as possible.

The RSC is multi-functional with excellent professional staff who care about you and therefore ensure that you are up to speed on the milestone management processes, and that you are also learning skills to assist you in completing your degree and launching a successful career.

The RSC provides services in the areas of enrolment, candidature, scholarships, travel grants, orientation, and examinations and gathers student feedback on a regular basis about all aspects of the postgraduate research experience. The RSC can also assist in resolving difficulties and complaints.

I would like to wish you all the best in your studies and hope that your research experience is a stimulating one.
