more about this project...
Every year, around 50,000 joint replacements are performed in Australian hospitals. Our goal? If not to eliminate all that pain and discomfort, at least to greatly reduce it. At the QUT Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, significant progress is being made with tissue regeneration, bone substitution techniques and biodegradable implants allowing patients to be up on their feet while natural bone regenerates. See what other ideas our QUT researchers are kicking around. Search for a project or research supervisor. *Applications for QUT's annual scholarship round close on 30 September 2008 for international students and 10 October 2008 for Australian students.
