Application for Admission and Scholarship - Domestic Students

Applications for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy, Professional Doctorate by Research or Master by Research can be made on the Online Application form or the paper-based form. An application for scholarship can also be made on these forms. Please complete and submit to the Research Students Centre.

Application for Scholarship Only (Continuing Domestic Students)

Continuing domestic research higher degree students apply for a scholarship only via the:

Referee Report (for scholarship applicants only)
Sample Timeline (Required for 1 year QUT Masters Scholarship - QMS Applicants ONLY)

A suggested process to follow is:

Step 1 .	DETERMINE YOUR COURSE QUT offers a range of different programs from honours to professional doctorate and Doctor of Philosophy.
Step 2.	CHOOSE A RESEARCH TOPIC You probably have a clear idea where your research interests lie. There are opportunities for you to align your interests with QUT’s major ongoing research programs.
Step 3.	DISCUSS YOUR OPTIONS Discussing your interests early will make completing your application and research proposal much easier. QUT researchers are available to discuss your topic with you and make sure it has the right scope and scale for the research degree you wish to complete.
Step 4.	VIEW RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS QUT research students can access a range of scholarship opportunities to provide living support while studying.
Step 5.	FIND A SUPERVISOR There are a number of ways you can search for a research supervisor for your studies.
Step 6.	APPLY TO QUT Submit an application form.

Postgraduate Coursework / Postgraduate Courses in Research Commercialisation

The Application for Postgraduate Coursework Admission (PG) form can be used to apply for admission for a Graduate Certificate in Research Commercialisation or a Master of Research and Development Management.
