I've been sick. Am I eligible for sick leave?
On an APA or QUTPRA or any of the scholarships set up under the same conditions of award, you will be entitled to 10 days sick leave per year of the award and this may be accrued across the term of your scholarship. The Research Students Centre does not need to record this leave as it will not change the end date of your scholarship. However if you are sick for longer than 10 days, you can apply for up to 12 weeks of paid sick leave over the term of your scholarship. You will be paid while you are sick which is in addition to the remain term of your scholarship. You need to provide a doctor’s certificate and a Leave of Absence/Sick Leave form.
