I am on a scholarship. Am I allowed to do paid work? If so, how much can I do?

Studying part time

If you have qualified under the special conditions to hold a scholarship and study part time, then the rules about paid labour also apply (only 6-8 hours in the normal working week). Part time awards are not available in order to take on more paid employment. They are to help you to continue to study when you have other responsibilities that do not allow you to study full time. You should be able to commit to undertake 15 hours of study per week.

Studying full time

You can take on paid employment: about 6-8 hours in the normal working week and hours outside the working week as well. There is no limit on the amount you earn. Employment should not interfere with your progress.
