Normally, Domestic Postgraduate Research students (Australian and NZ citizens doing Masters by Research, Professional Doctorates by Research or PhD – not coursework awards) are not required to pay tuition fees. Most commencing Domestic Postgraduate Research Students (i.e., Masters by Research and Research Doctoral Students) are eligible for Research Training Scheme entitlements that cover tuition fees for a fix term of candidature (ie., 4 year full time equivalent for Doctoral Students and 2 years full time equivalent for Masters).
