Some things to consider when meeting with your supervisor

Before meeting with your supervisor we suggest you have a look over the following materials and resources:

Research Student Induction Checklist (includes advice on Intellectual Property, Ethics and Health and Safety)

Administrative Advice for new research students (important policy information)

PORTIA (a view of your personal profile as it currently stands)

Sample Timeline (an example of the type of activities you will need to schedule during candidature)

Dissemination Plan (a suggestion on how to begin work on your first publication)

Role Perception (strategies for developing a good working relationship with your supervisor)

These materials may answer some of your early concerns. Further, they may raise some points you will want to discuss with your supervisor.
