[Print-friendly version] 2009 Domestic Scholarships Rules and Rates 2009 International Scholarships Rules Other QUT Postgraduate Research Scholarships Rules 2009 Domestic Scholarships Rules and Rates QUT has one major scholarship round per year for domestic postgraduate research students. This closes in mid-October of each year and is open to commencing and continuing domestic postgraduate research students. The 2009 rate for the following scholarships is $20,427 per annum for full-time students Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) QUT Postgraduate Research Awards (QUTPRA) & QUT Faculty Based Awards (QUTFBA) Owen J Wordsworth Award (OJW) Indigenous Postgraduate Research Awards (IPRA) Women's Re-Entry Awards (WRE) QUT Masters Scholarship (QMS) The current Institute stipend rates are between $25,000pa and $36,669pa. Please check with the Research Students Centre to confirm your specific stipend rate. Institute Based Awards The four Institutes at QUT are: Institute of Creative Industries and Innovation (iCi) Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI) Institute for Sustainable Resources (ISR) Information Security Institute (ISI) There may be some exceptions to these award rules and rates for scholarships that are offered out of the major round, or scholarships that are nominated by Faculties, so if your scholarship is not one of the above, please check with your Faculty regarding the rules and rates that apply to your scholarship. Application Forms Annual Round Scholarship Forms 2009 International Scholarships Rules QUT has one major scholarship round per year for international postgraduate research students. This closes on 30th September of each year. Application Form and Rules International Research Application Form (FR Form) and Guidelines International Postgraduate Research Scholarship Rules (IPRS) QUT Masters Scholarship (QMS) Other International Scholarships Other QUT Postgraduate Research Scholarship Rules Australian Postgraduate Awards Industry (APAI) This award supports collaborative research and development projects between QUT and industry partners. The current APAI stipend rate for those commencing the award before 2005 is $25,872pa and $26,669pa for students commencing the award from 2005 and onwards. Rules Student Information Form FAQ's Write Up Scholarship A QUT postgraduate research student who is ready to submit or has just submitted their thesis for examination may apply for this scholarship. They can be awarded to write up the thesis based on Examiner Reports or for writing up publications after lodgement of their thesis for external examination. Recipients would normally not be enrolled when in receipt of this scholarship. If you have been made course complete, please realise that your scholarship will end and that you are no longer eligible for this scholarship. Rules Application Form Vacation Research Experience Scholarship This scholarship is for high performing QUT undergraduate students who are interested in having a funded research experience over summer semester.
