Support for Supervisors

Supervisors are invited to take part in online Supervisor Solutions modules and also in the Quality in Postgraduate Supervision (QIPS) seminars that are held during the year, which are face-to-face seminars facilitated by academic colleagues.

Supervisors are also encouraged to attend any of the seminars/workshops offered to higher degree research (HDR) students - especially the milestones seminars on the research proposal, the confirmation process and the examination process.

fIRST - for Improving Research Supervision and Training

fIRST is the acronym for Improving Research Supervision and Training. fIRST. This set of materials has been developed as a resource for supervisors. To link directly to parts of the fIRST webiste supervisors need to go to the RSC Blackboard site - see the section "For Supervisors".
